The equipment needed for the kitesurfing course includes:
- Kite and boom: The kite is the main piece of kitesurfing equipment. Kites come in different sizes and types depending on wind conditions. The boom is the bar used to control the kite.
- Board: It’s the board you’ll use to glide across the water. There are different types and sizes of boards depending on your kitesurfing style and skill level.
- Kitesurfing harness: It is used to attach the body to the kite’s traction system and relieve arm strain during practice.
- Safety equipment: This includes a life jacket and a helmet, which are important items to ensure safety while kitesurfing.
- Safety leash: It’s a rope that connects the harness to the kite. In an emergency, it allows you to quickly release yourself from the kite to avoid dangerous situations.
- Pipe: It is used to inflate the kite before use. The pump allows you to fill the kite with air so it can fly.
- Neoprene: It is a neoprene suit used to keep the body at a suitable temperature while kitesurfing, especially in cold water.
- Instructor and radio communication: The course includes a qualified instructor who will guide you and teach you the necessary techniques and skills. Radio communication is used to maintain constant communication between the instructor and the student during on-water practice.
It’s important to note that the course also has an additional fee of €20 per person, a one-time payment for liability and accident insurance valid until the end of the year.
