DESIGNED IN 3D
While the industry standard is to develop 2D patterns and try to fit them to a 3D body, we decided to innovate and take the opposite approach. We used computer design to model perfectly fitting wetsuits in 3D, and then employed innovative software that converted them into an accurate 2D pattern for the factory.
This creates a natural, second-skin fit that distinguishes MANERA wetsuits.

Warmth: No water ingress, no air pockets.
Durability: Neoprene only stretches when you move.
Comfort: Areas without excessive pressure, comfortable armpits and crotch.
Style: Pleats will never be in fashion.
Sealing: The sealing provides greater rigidity to the ankles and wrists. It acts as an articulation point, preventing water from entering and keeping the arm and leg panels in place.
Strategic construction: Some areas are highly susceptible to friction, tension, and tearing. All MANERA wetsuits are designed following a rigorous protocol that includes:
Avoid seams in stress areas to maximize flexibility and strength.
Make sure the seams stretch vertically and not laterally.
Remove seams from friction areas to prevent chafing and increase elasticity.
Reinforce strategic parts and panels precisely where they are needed.
Fusion cut: The different layers of neoprene are fused at the ends of the arms and legs to achieve a finer, more aesthetically pleasing finish. This protects the inner neoprene foam (AIR FOAM) by covering it.
SD2 2.0 Tape: The neoprene layers are glued and then sewn with an invisible stitch (the needle does not fully penetrate the neoprene layer). The SD² tape is then welded to the seam using an air heat machine. This innovative process provides greater durability, waterproofing, and flexibility to our wetsuits.
