The new ROCKET FREE SURF combines glide, control, and maneuverability in a narrow, elongated design, perfect for carving waves, choppy water, or rougher conditions, with or without a sail. Accessible, responsive, and incredibly fun to fly, it’s the ideal board for foil-prone surfers, pocket wingers, K-wingers, or foil-assisted surfers.

With the rise of new disciplines like K-Winging and pocket winging, which offer the freedom to ride with minimal volume, some riders will naturally focus on ocean surfing, carving waves or bumps with style and precision. This board is designed precisely for that: it provides the support and stability needed for takeoff, while also being fully dedicated to carving once airborne.

In this respect, the ROCKET FREE SURF builds upon everything that made the ROCKET SURF PRONE a success: an elongated outline that facilitates takeoffs, optimized volume distribution, and a carefully adjusted tilt angle that creates perfect pressure between the feet, from front to back. Combined with a reduced thickness, this provides excellent control in flight.

The straight rocker line ensures smooth acceleration, while the beveled edges reduce water resistance and allow for more aggressive and decisive turns. A slightly flatter nose improves both control and pumping efficiency, while the tapered tip and tail enhance maneuverability and help prevent unwanted water contact during carving.

The rear step and raised tail optimize water flow and increase pumping amplitude. Additionally, the deck has been widened and slightly redesigned to improve foot placement and overall stability.

Compared to the FREE DOWNWIND, the FREE SURF is a more agile board thanks to its tapered nose and bottom contour, reduced thickness, and balanced foot pressure. This combination provides excellent pitch stability, even during the most powerful turns.

Built with our Bamboo Deck Construction technology, the board remains light and responsive while maintaining its durability and strength. The foil feel is very direct, and control is absolute throughout the session, even at high speeds.
