Description
WING STRIKE CWC V4 F-ONE
Lightweight, compact and easy to handle, the STRIKE CWC V4 It is the essential wing for sailing on days with minimal winds The 3-rib wing has proven to be the ideal design for a large wingspan wing, and the STRIKE CWC has dominated wingfoiling in light wind conditions since its launch. With a revolutionary new design, as well as the latest technologies and materials from F-ONE, the CWC V4 will allow you to showcase your wingfoiling skills with complete confidence on any light wind day. The ALUULA ribs reduce inertia during each maneuver and enhance the feeling of lightness while flying.
- Its patented design is compact and provides maximum power with impressive maneuverability.
- ALUULA on all three ribs for greater lightness, strength and performance
- A smaller wingspan allows for efficient pumping and keeps the wingtips away from the water’s surface.
- The central rib with a smaller diameter allows the CWC to maintain a record weight.
- Its perfect balance makes it easy to create apparent wind, while enhancing your capabilities in strong wind conditions.
- New HITEX and NANO materials for greater durability.
All the design innovations of our fourth STRIKE have been applied to this STRIKE CWC. This wing once again features a super-intuitive pumping mechanism with a degree of flexibility that makes getting airborne easier without expending much energy or learning any special technique. Each pumping motion gently propels you forward, ensuring instant takeoff and greater efficiency than ever before.
The aerodynamics of this wing have been naturally optimized for exceptional performance in light winds. In flight, the STRIKE CWC is perfectly balanced and easy to forget. This incredible forward thrust, inspired by the new STRIKE, offers a unique glide, allowing for more enjoyable and extended sessions. The CWC makes it easy to move upwind and boasts impressive high-speed performance, allowing you to absorb gusts if the wind picks up.
Materials
The leading edge of the fourth STRIKE CWC continues to be made of HITEX 158g and 178g. This high-tenacity polyester offers excellent resistance to elongation, resulting in greater durability and performance. Both HITEX weights are perfectly distributed to account for the varying stresses, high pressures, and weight distribution in this area.
The innovation of this wing lies in the strategic placement of ALUULA on its three ribs. Thanks to the mechanical properties of this lightweight and strong material, the center rib is now thinner. This results in less drag and a significant weight reduction, which also improves freeflying and handling during turns and jibes. Finally, the ALUULA ribs reduce inertia during maneuvers, transitions, and pumping.
Ensuring performance and durability, our thicker 66g TECHNOFORCE™/D2 has been placed at the trailing edge where stresses are high and strength is essential. The rest of the wing fabric is made of 52g TECHNOFORCE™/D2.
Design
The CWC has been completely redesigned. The central rib is straight and has greater volume, resulting in improved control and reduced torsion, thus minimizing drag while sailing. The innovative Load Diffuser has been reduced in size to eliminate weight, especially during freeflying.
A dihedral angle has been added to improve stability and keep the wingtips out of the water while pumping and cruising. New leading and trailing edge stresses, along with its radial shape, help maintain airfoil stability for incredible performance and control.
The wing body features a horizontal cut to optimize seam weight on these large-area, light-wind wings. The trailing edge has a 66g vertical cut for ideal drag control. A small radial cut is implemented on the back of the rib to distribute stress. Finally, the Load Diffuser helps maintain the sleek and efficient profile, leading to maximum stability, performance, and longevity.
The precise panel arrangement, accurate load management, and staggered seams continue to provide exceptional profile control. The materials are also perfectly distributed to account for varying stresses, high pressures, and weight distribution in each specific area.
Basics
The STRIKE CWC V4 is equipped with an interchangeable handle system. Available in soft, semi-rigid, and rigid options, you can now customize the handles to your preference.
The light wind revolution
The Compact Wing Concept (CWC) allows for increased surface area within a given wingspan without compromising lightness and performance. The two additional blades increase surface area without lengthening the leading edge.
This specific geometry delivers great power with ease of use, offering a lightweight feel with a smaller wingspan. The compact outline facilitates incredible launches when planing and pumping; the fourth STRIKE CWC will continue to be a game-changer for your light-wind days.
